What Must a Person Do in Order to be Saved?

What Does the Bible Say?

*All Quotes are Taken from the King James Version Bible*

1.  We are to Hear the Word of God

Romans 10:17 - "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."

2.  We are Told to Believe that Word

Mark 16:16 - "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned."

John 8:24 - "I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins."

3.  After Believing, we are told to Repent of our Sin

Luke 13:3 - "I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish."

Acts 3:19 - "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;"

4.  We are to Confess with our Mouth that Christ is the Son of God

Act 8:37 - "And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God."

Romans 10:9,10 - "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

5.  We are commanded to be Baptized for (unto) the remission of our sins

Mark 16:16a - "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved."

Acts 2:38 - "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."

Acts 22:16 - "And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord."

Where is the Sinner's Prayer in the Scripture?

Where is an example in the word of God that one was saved only by prayer under the New Covenant?

How can one say this Prayer is by Faith when it is not in the Bible?

Jesus Says in

Luke 6:46 - "And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?"

We would be glad to help you in obeying the gospel of Jesus Christ, please give us a call.

2 Corinthians 2:6b - "...behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation."
