SOME, BUT NOT ALL!

Some married couples (both men and women) commit adultery, but not all married people are unfaithful.

Some young people regularly have sex with their boyfriends and girlfriends, drink alcohol, and “do drugs,” but not all young people engage in such behavior.

Some parents allow their children to behave any way (being active sexually, drinking and doing drugs), but not all parents are permissive.

Some people are lazy and do not work diligently on the job and are paid in spite of their laziness, but not all people are lazy.

Some people are dishonest and it is difficult to tell when they are being honest, but not all people are dishonest.

Some law enforcement officers have become corrupted and have broken laws they have sworn to uphold, but not all law officers are guilty of corruption.

Some judges have forsaken true justice and have taken bribes, mishandled cases, and set the guilty free, but not all judges are corrupt.

Some people are enamored with the television programs that glorify and promote immorality (fornication, homosexuality, etc.) and violence, but not all people approve of such programming.

Some people use the internet to see and sell pornography, seek victims for child molestation, and engage in other immoral behavior, but not all users of the internet are guilty of such behavior or motivation.

Some preachers have “sold out” and left the precepts of God and followed the wishes of men, but not all preachers have compromised.

Some people who wear the name of Christ commit sin and deny the Lord who died for them, but not all Christians are hypocrites.

Sometimes one is tempted to believe, like Elijah, that “I, even I only, am left” (1 Kings 19:10). Instead, we should remember the words of the Lord to Elijah, “Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him” (1 Kings 19:18).
