When Satan convinces us to tamper with Truth, manipulate the specific instructions of Jehovah — man is in dire trouble! If (when) Satan convinces anyone to consider Truth in a relative manner; viewed as a body of teaching that is subject to modification or continual updating — such individuals are in danger of losing their soul eternally.
In this twenty-first century we are told that it is merely our tradition, our custom to not have instrumental music in our worship; that it is not a fellowship matter; just a choice that our forefathers made years ago. Truth on this matter is not relative — instruments of music in worship is clearly condemned.
Further we hear the ranting and raving of those without the Lord’s church (as well as some within) that the Lord’s Supper can be partaken annually, quarterly or weekly — as well as on a day other than Sunday if desired. Truth on this matter is not relative — the Lord’s Supper must be partaken by Christians every first day of the week, and only on the first day of the week.
Various religious groups believe the Holy Spirit works on them miraculously today (as in the first century), and that such action of the Spirit is separate and apart from the Word. Truth on this matter is not relative — the Holy Spirit does not work separate from the Word, and does not work miraculously today (as in the first century).
Worship to Almighty God has undergone massive changes in recent years, with many involved in dramas, skits, performances, praise teams, solo singing, choir spectaculars, etc. Truth on this matter is not relative — we do not have the liberty to mangle, change or pervert worship. God has spoken specifically concerning our acceptable worship and we “must” worship accordingly (John 4:24).
Through the years, Satan has employed various voices to promote his damnable doctrines. Satan has changed with the times, adjusting to the whims and fancies of fickle man. He continues to entice man with whatever is appealing, though not commanded.
Truth (Satan says) is relative, must change with the times, is different today than a century ago, or is drastically different from first century times. Such is a lie! Truth is absolute, attainable, accurate and will one day face us in judgment before the throne of God.
